The new site can be accessed using any computer or mobile device.

You'll be able to request an excusal, see your prior service history, report scams, and check the status of any payments.

Bartow middle school teacher fired for inappropriate texts, touching student

Bartow, FL -- For the second time this month, a teacher in Polk County is being accused of inappropriate behavior with a student.

This time the alleged victim is a fifth grader at Compass Charter Middle School in Bartow, and the teacher is a 27-year-old man.

"I think it's pretty sad, really," said Matt Spina, who has a son in 6th grade.

While a teacher, who police say had sex with student appears in court, another family comes forward about the 29 year old.

Fatal crash in Lake Wales closes portion of Hwy 60 E

Lake Wales, Florida -- Polk County Sheriff's deputies continue to investigate a deadly crash on Hesperides Road (Hwy 60 E) between a semi truck and a car Thursday.

Preliminary evidence from the scene indicates just before 2:30 p.m., a semi truck heading east collided with a Mercedes that was heading west. The collision occurred in the eastbound lane.
