County Nature Discovery Center to close for the holidays

Polk Co., FL-- Polk’s Nature Discovery Center will be closed December 22 - 25.The trails, however, will remain open the regular hours during this time.

Polk’s Nature Discovery Center is located in the Circle B Bar Reserve at 4399 Winter Lake Rd, Lakeland, FL.

Paws to Read Party for your pup!

Bartow, FL-- The Bartow Public Library is hosting a "Paws to Read" on Saturday, December 15. 

They invite you to, "come help celebrate their faiteful service," and enjoy "cake, Frosty Paws and dog bisquits," to be served at the event. 

The hour long party begins at 10:30 a.m. at the library, located at 2150 S. Broadway Ave. Bartow, FL 33830.

Bartow, FL-- Kids and teens in grades six through 12 can create their very own flowering poinsettia decorations out of paper on Thursday, December 13 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
