Police: Woman shot, killed by boyfriend | News
Bartow, FL -- A Bartow woman was shot and killed by her on-and-off again boyfriend during an argument early Saturday morning.
According to police, 32-year-old Ryan Willis told police around 4:10 a.m., at the Peace River Trailer Park at 2405 SR 60 East, 24-year-old Tanya Thomas tried to attack him with a knife and he shot her once in self-defense.
An investigation revealed the two have had an on-again, off-again relationship for over two years.
Thomas was taken to LRMC and later died. An autopsy is scheduled for Nov. 27.
The investigation is still active.
