Car crashed into Polk County house | News
Davenport, FL -- Polk County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to 12 Cottonwood Drive, Davenport at approximately 4:16 am, on Sunday, June 22, 2014, in reference to a report of a vehicle crashing into a house.
Deputies are currently looking for a pickup truck, described as a silver or light colored, extended cab 2000 Dodge Ram, which was observed in the neighborhood and failed to maneuver a curve in the road.
The truck left the roadway, and crashed into a parked car at the residence pushing the car into the house. There were no injuries reported. The parked vehicle was destroyed by the impact.
The house sustained damage and residents were advised to seek temporary accommodation.
The driver was described as being a large framed white or Hispanic male and was last seen exiting the neighborhood traveling toward Highway 27.
A fund has been set up at SunTrust Bank in the name of Angie McDonald to help the family recover.
