Lakeland, Florida - A school resource officer employed by Lakeland Police was arrested Friday on charges he harassed his ex-girlfriend.

Billy Wayne Skinner, 44, allegedly called his ex-girlfriend several time since breaking up and agreeing not to have further contact. On one day, he called her 27 times. Some of the calls were made from his workplace, the Sleepy Hill Elementary School, according to an arrest affidavit.

Based on the victim's complaint, detectives interviewed Skinner and later charged him with one misdemeanor count of Stalking/Follow/Harass Another (Dating Violence).
