Calling all holiday parade floats!

Bartow, FL -- Bartow's 2013 Magical Illumination Christmas Parade is almost here, and organizers are asking anyone who wants to enter a float to get in contact with them now.

The parade, presented by Mainstreet Bartow, and the City of Bartow, will take place Friday, December 13th at at 6:00 p.m.

Santa will be in the parade!!

The event is expected to last about two hours.

Want to enter a float, band or decorated car?

Here are the rules:

  • 1. No Santa allowed (the real one has already accepted. 
  • 2. ABSOLUTELY NO THROWING CANDY! Candy may be handed out by walkers. 
  • 3. Your entry must have Christmas lights on it. The more the better. 
  • 4. Identify your organization at the FRONT of the unit. 
  • 5. Saddle units must have pooper scoopers.

Line up at 5:00 p.m. at Mosaic Park on south Floral Avenue, north of the Bartow Civic Center.

There's an entry Fee of $20 (no charge for non-profits) or a $250 sponsor fee which gets you a prime location towards the beginning of the parade, plus additional publicity.
