Police still search for Lakeland bank robber | News
Lakeland, FL-- Lakeland Police are searching for the male suspect who robbed a local bank Saturday morning in his slippers.
According to reports, the man entered the Chase bank off the 4800 block of S. Florida Avenue shortly after 11 a.m.
He approached the teller, handed over a note demanding cash, and fled after receiving an undisclosed amount of money.
Reports say no one was injured, and the suspect did not show signs of having a weapon during the robbery.
The suspect was described as follows:
- Black male with dreadlocks
- Approximately 6'
- 190 lbs
- 22-27 years-of-age
- Wearing jogging style pants with a white strip down the side, green sweat type shirt and slippers
- In addition the suspect wore a glove on his left hand and no glove on his right hand
