Lakeland wins 19th straight over Kathleen

Lakeland, Fla. -- Kathleen had no playoffs to look forward to so their crosstown trip to face rival Lakeland acted as the Red Devils' postseason. It was more disappointment for Kathleen as Lakeland won 31-21.

Lakeland stretched their win streak over Kathleen to 19 games.

With the game tied at 21, Lakeland got a go-ahead 29-yard field goal from Caleb Hough. The Dreadnaughts sealed it with a Braxton Huggins 4-yard touchdown run for the final score.

Kathleen tied it at 21 just before halftime on a 46-yard touchdown run from James McClinton.

Lakeland wins 8th straight, 28-6

Lakeland, FL-- The 2nd-ranked Lakeland Dreadnaughts recovered from a close first half, to defeat George Jenkins, 28-6, and keep the Eagles winless.

This was still a 9-6 game in the 4th quarter.  That's when Lakeland quarterback Raheeme Dumas led the Dreadnaughts to 3 touchdowns.  Dumas ran for a touchdown, then threw TD passes to De'drick Gallishaw and Ricquan Southward.

George Jenkins had motivation in the game.  Back in January, 3 starters for the Eagles transferred to Lakeland.  And they were able to hang with Lakeland... for 3 quarters.
