Year-round water conservation returns in Polk and Citrus Counties

The Florida Government Utility Authority (FGUA) urges its customers in Citrus and Polk County systems to continue practicing good water stewardship even though the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) loosened watering restrictions and returned to year-round water conservation measures.

The restrictions ended on July 31 because this season's frequent showers have positively impacted the area, and restored local aquifer and river levels.

To keep it that way, FGUA encourages locals to consider the year-round water conservation measures and only water up to twice a week.
