Bartow cops charge 14-year-old with hurling golf balls | Crime
Bartow, FL -- Bartow Police have arrested a 14-year-old for throwing a deadly missile. In this case the "missile" was golf balls.
Yesterday, at around 8 p.m., police found Marqus Cooper, of Bartow, about a block from the area of Hwy 17 and Church Street where motorists say he was throwing objects at them as they drove by. Cooper matched the description given to police by one of the drivers.
While speaking with the teen, police say Cooper did have golf balls on him and he admitted to throwing them at passing cars.
Cooper was then arrested and charged with throwing a "deadly missile" - a second degree felony.
