Child found in motel room filled with drugs

Lake Wales, Florida -- Lake Wales Police officers responding to a call from a concerned citizen arrested a woman who was staying in a drug-filled motel room with her 2-year-old child and boyfriend.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office notified the police department about the call who went to the Royal Inn to investigate. When officers arrived at motel, they talked with 27-year-old Cindy Hill who gave them permission to search the room.

Inside they found syringes, one of which was filled with a clear liquid that she said was liquefied Oxycodone, marijuana and other pills, and a spoon with partially melted pills on it.

Hill was arrested and charged with child neglect, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation.

DCF took custody of the child. Hill's boyfriend was not present at the time of her arrest.
