Deputies: Two arrested for Residential Burglary

Winter Haven, Florida-- A Winter Haven pair, who are no strangers to the law, have been arrested for a residential burglary after an alert neighbor saw their vehicle backed into the driveway of an unoccupied home on lake Shipp Dr., deputies said in a recent release.

It was about 6:30 a.m. on Friday, August 3, when 26-year-old Crystal Dawn Reinhold and 28-year-old John Byron Cordes III parked their 2004 blue/green Chevy Venture in the driveway of the home.  They entered the utility room and a shed in the back of the residence. According to deputies, the alarm sounded when they attempted to go inside the home.

A resident in the area identified their van asthe one recently parked in the driveway. Further investigation also revealed that the same van had been parked in other driveways on the same day within a couple of blocks of the burglarized residence.

"This is another great example of neighbors watching out for each other," said Chief Gary Hester. "The alert neighbor was able to identify this vehicle, ultimately helping lead to the arrest of these two criminals."

Reinhold and Cordes have both been in and out of jail on numerous charges to include petit theft, forgery, and false identification to law enforcement as well as false verification to pawn brokers, deputies told us in their release.

Reinhold and Cordes were both charged with Residential Burglary and Petit Theft, and booked into the Polk County Jail.
