Remembrance Ride and Patriot Day Observance

Lakeland, FL - Tampa's American Veterans (AMVETS) Post 44 will host their 4th Annual Remembrance Ride and Patriot Day Observance Saturday.

It's to inspire and remind the community of the patriotism and pride that brought the nation together after the terrorist attacks and remember those who lost their lives that day.

Over the past three years, AMVETS Post 44 has raised over $15,000 to support Recreational Therapy Services at James A. Haley VA Hospital and others in need in the community.

Proceeds from this year's event will also support local police and firemen's charities.

The Remembrance Ride will feature motorcyclists starting at five locations around the Bay Area and riding to the Patriot Day Observance at the International Independent Showmen's Association.

Starting locations for the ride will be held at:

  • Pot Hole Bar, 4210 New Tampa Highway, Lakeland
  • James A. Haley VA Hospital, 13000 Bruce B Downs Blvd, Tampa
  • Quaker Steak & Lube, 10400 49th St. N, Clearwater
  • Target parking lot, 15240 N Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa
  • Peggy's Corral, 4511 US Highway 41 N, Palmetto

Come spend a day with your family, enjoying great entertainment while remembering those we lost in one of America's worst tragedies, Sept. 11 and thank a veteran or first responder for their service to us all.
