Donations needed for Lakeland Police Museum

Lakeland, FL --  Lakeland Police are accepting donations for the police museum.

Curator, Sergeant Gary Gross hopes to continue collecting and preserving Lakeland Police Department history.

Gross is also hoping that members of the community have some old relics they would like to donate to the museum.

The items will be preserved and enjoyed by the citizens of Lakeland.

Some of the items that would be welcomed are:

  • LPD police badges, circa 1950 - 1970

  • Old LPD police uniforms, hats, and insignia

  • Duty weapons used by LPD police

  • LPD duty gear such as batons, holsters, duty belts

  • Photographs/scrapbooks containing photos related to LPD

  • Newspaper articles detailing items of historic interest related to LPD
