Fundraiser to benefit Polk Co detective and her family | Community Spirit
Lakeland, FL-- A Polk County Sheriff's Office detective and her family could really use your help tomorrow night.
According to a release from the sheriff's office, detective Zulaika “Zoe” Vizcarrondo fell seriously ill while six-months pregnant several weeks ago. Her baby boy was born three months premature on December 20, 2012, as a result of complications from Zoe’s illness. Both she and her tiny son, Juliano, remain hospitalized.
To assist the family, a fundraiser will take place at 8 p.m. on tomorrow evening at Earhart’s Runway Grill located at the Lakeland Linder Airport, 3900 Don Emerson Drive in Lakeland.
Earhart's has graciously offered to donate 20% of all food proceeds all day Friday to Polk Sheriff’s Charities, Inc., for Zoe.
Additionally, the country duo “Dock Seven” will provide music at the event. To see more about this group that hails from Plant City, visit www.dock7music.com.
