Davenport, FL -- Detectives are searching for two men who robbed a local liquor store on Christmas Eve.

According to the sheriff's office, around 9:20 p.m. on Dec. 24, one man held the door open of the Hollywood Liquor store, at 114 Polo Park Blvd., while the other, armed with a semi-automatic handgun, went behind the counter and pointed it at the clerk demanding money.

Detectives say the robbery was interrupted by another store clerk who tapped the armed suspect on the shoulder and told him to get out from behind the counter. The two then struggled briefly before the two robbers fled the store in an unknown direction.

One of the men is described as being in his late teens, of an unknown race, approximately 5’10,” with a thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white letters on the front and sleeves, hat, armed with a small black semi-automatic handgun.

The other man is described as also in his late teens, of an unknown race, approximately 5’10,” with a thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a red and blue hat.
